My Aunt Ginger
I remember spending a lot of time at my Aunt Gingers when I was small. Her and her husband Clem Johnson lived on a farm in the foothills near Smartsville, California. I remember that there was no electricity, and they used oil lanterns for light. Her Son Danny and I spent many days catching small minows in a nearby stream, and Ginger would always cook them for us (they were too small to clean). They later moved to Yuba City, and had a nice home with a swimming pool in the back. We spent lots of time visiting at there home. I remember Clems father talking about comming across the plains and having nothing to eat, but boiled shoe leather.

She was a very good person and one of my favorite aunt's. Dick
